This time Catarina Migliorini has set up her own website and hopes to make at least $1.6 million for selling her “purity”.
Migliorini claims she was duped by the Australian documentary filmmaker, Justin Sisley, who helped set up the auction and arranged for her to meet the winning Japanese bidder.
Migliorini claims she was never given the money she was promised and when she met the bidder, a millionaire by the name of Natsu, in a Sydney restaurant, he did not match the description Sisley had given her and the pair did not have sex.
Sisley has denied those claims, saying he has video proof.
The media coverage surrounding the online auction turned the young physical education student into a minor celebrity in Brazil and she even posed for Playboy.
“After being featured by so many media outlets in so many countries, I decided to actually auction off my virginity,’ she told The Huffington Post.
Migliorini has previously said she will give much of the cash she earns to a non-government organisation to build modern homes for poverty-stricken families in her home state of Santa Catarina.
